SongQingLing cemetery, the main gate is located in Songyuan Road, Changning District, Shanghai. It was built in January 1984, formerly known as Shanghai Wanguo cemetery. The cemetery is composed of four parts: Memorial facilities centered on the tomb of Song Qingling, children's activity area, Tomb of celebrities of the universal cemetery and cemetery for foreigners of the universal cemetery.
 
At the east end of the main road is a monument to Song Qingling. On the front is engraved with Deng Xiaoping's inscription "the great soldier of patriotism, democracy, internationalism and communism, Comrade Song Qingling is immortal". On the back is the inscription of Comrade Song Qingling written by Wang Guifang. More than 3300 words of the inscription record the glorious life of Song Qingling. At the end of the main road is the exhibition room of Song Qingling's life stories.
 
The children's museum is located in the southeast of the Mausoleum of Song Qingling. It is composed of four parts: the comprehensive building, the space museum, the navigation museum and the movie hall. On both sides of the cemetery are foreign cemetery and celebrity cemetery.
 
In 1982, the State Council announced the tomb of Song Qingling as the second batch of national key cultural relics protection units.

The evolution of Song Dynasty Tombs
 
In the first half of 1918, the song Jiashu family purchased the graveyard at the Wanguo cemetery in Shanghai.
 
In May 1918, Song Qingling's father, song Jiashu (song yaoru), was buried here after his death in Shanghai.
 
In July 1931, Ni Guizhen, Song Qingling's mother, died of illness.
 
In August 1932, six brothers and sisters of Song Qingling built the tomb of song Jiashu and Ni Guizhen, and set up tombstones. At this time, song's cemetery covers 22 holes, about 145 square meters.
 
In the summer of 1966, song's cemetery was destroyed. Zhou Enlai received a report from Shanghai and instructed that "this matter must be handled properly.".
 
In September 1967, the Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau repaired the tomb of Song Dynasty according to the instructions of Premier Zhou. The photos taken after the restoration of the cemetery were sent to the central government and handed over to Song Qingling by Liao Mengxing. After Song Qingling expressed his satisfaction and gratitude to Zhou Enlai for doing this for her in difficult times.
 
On February 5, 1981, at the age of 16, she began to provide nanny services to Song Qingling. Li yan'e, who had been with Song Qingling for more than 50 years, died in Beijing. Song Qingling was very sad.
 
On April 2, 1981, the Shanghai Municipal People's government, entrusted by Song Qingling, buried Li yan'e's ashes in Song's cemetery and held a solemn burial ceremony. Song Qingling sent a wreath.
 
On May 29, 1981, Song Qingling died of illness in Beijing at the age of 90. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and the State Council announced the holding of the state funeral.
 
On June 3, 1981, Song Qingling's memorial meeting was held at the Great Hall of the people in Beijing. Later, Song Qingling's special plane for ashes was airlifted to Shanghai.
 
On the morning of June 4, 1981, Song Qingling's funeral was ceremoniously held at the universal cemetery in Shanghai. According to Song Qingling's will, her ashes were buried in the east side of the universal cemetery where her parents were buried together.
 
On July 1, 1981, the cemetery of Song Qingling was opened to the public.
 
In September 1981, Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau submitted the plan for the construction of Comrade Song Qingling's cemetery to the municipal government.  According to the wishes of people from all walks of life, the leaders of Shanghai Municipality directed that the cemetery be built into the "cemetery of Song Qingling, honorary president of the people's Republic of China".
 
On February 23, 1982, the tomb of Song Qingling was approved by the State Council of the people's Republic of China as a national key cultural relics protection unit.
 
In June 1982, with the approval of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the expansion project of song tomb officially began construction.
 
In June 1983, SongQingLing cemetery was basically completed.
 
On January 10, 1984, the mausoleum was officially named "the mausoleum of Song Qingling, honorary president of the people's Republic of China" with the approval of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
 
On January 27, 1984, the opening ceremony of the white marble statue of Song Qingling was held in the memorial square.
 
In May 1986, a monument to Song Qingling was built at the east end of Lingyuan Avenue. The inscription was inscribed by Deng Xiaoping.
 
History of scenic spots
 
In October 1909, the first year of Xuantong in the Qing Dynasty, Shangyu people in Zhejiang Province purchased more than 20 mu of land in Xixiang, Shanghai, and planned to build Xielu garden, which was completed in the third year of the Republic of China (1914). In the sixth year of the Republic of China, Wang Guozhen, the wife of Jingrun mountain, bought 55.6 mu of land in the south of Hongqiao Road and zhanghongqiao, moved the original garden to the west, and renamed it Xielu garden wangguo cemetery.
 
Lu Xun was buried in Hongkou Park before he moved there in 1956.
 
In September of the 23rd year of the Republic of China (1934), it was taken over by Shanghai Municipal Bureau of health and renamed as Shanghai Wanguo cemetery, a public cemetery.
 
In the early days of the cultural revolution, the cemeteries of the nations were severely damaged. In 1973, Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau recovered 30 mu of land, including song's cemetery, and restored the universal cemetery. In 1981, all land was recovered from the cemetery.
 
Song Qingling died in Beijing on May 29, 1981, and was buried in Song's cemetery in June. In January 1984, the mausoleum of Song Qingling, honorary president of the people's Republic of China, was officially established. In February 1982, the tomb of Song Qingling was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council.
