Tough luck, she couldn't see this coming, but the Judge handling her case knows she's probably lying. The judge's husband runs a travel complany blowing Lindasy's stolen passport excuse out of the water. via TMZ:
Judge Marsha's husband, Jack Revel, owned Revel Travel, based in Bev Hills. Revel sold the company (though he's still affiliated with it) and is now President of TravCom, which works with travel agencies.
So when the judge told Lindsay's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, that LiLo could have gotten a temporary passport in time to make a flight to the U.S., it's because she knows what she's talking about.
We're also guessing when Lindsay claimed all the flights back to L.A. were booked because of the volcano ... the judge knew what we know -- seats were definitely available.
At this point, its better if Lindsay just remained in Cannes. Forever. Otherwise she'll be doing someone else's laundry, in JAIL!
Also, I don't think she bought a return ticket. Because the DA would like to see some proof she wanted to be back by Thursday:
Danette Meyers, the district attorney handling the case, told
Radar Online exclusively that she’ll be “asking for a warrant to be issued and [is] okay with it being held.
“However, I will be asking Judge [Marsha] Revel to have Lindsay and her lawyer bring her plane ticket — which would prove that she planned on being here in court today,” Meyers told us exclusively.
